{"id":2417,"date":"2011-05-21T15:17:56","date_gmt":"2011-05-21T13:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paris-louxor.fr\/?p=2417"},"modified":"2011-05-21T15:17:56","modified_gmt":"2011-05-21T13:17:56","slug":"cannes-2011-protocole-versus-privileges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/index.php\/2011\/05\/21\/cannes-2011-protocole-versus-privileges\/","title":{"rendered":"CANNES 2011 : PROTOCOLE VERSUS PRIVIL\u00c8GES"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/tapis.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2418\" title=\"tapis\" src=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/tapis.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/tapis.jpg 620w, https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/tapis-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/a><\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deux r\u00e9gimes de fonctionnement au Festival de Cannes<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lorsqu\u2019on traverse le <em>Festival de Cannes<\/em> d\u2019une comp\u00e9tition \u00e0 l\u2019autre, d\u2019une s\u00e9lection \u00e0 l\u2019autre, qu\u2019on s\u2019attarde au <em>Short Film Corner<\/em> ou au <em>March\u00e9 du Film<\/em>, on a tr\u00e8s vite le sentiment de faire un tour du monde d\u2019o\u00f9 l\u2019on aper\u00e7oit les nouveaux modes de repr\u00e9sentation se mettre en \u0153uvre(s), les nouvelles id\u00e9ologies dominantes s\u2019exprimer d\u2019un pays \u00e0 l\u2019autre, les formes \u00e9mergentes s\u2019installer dans les marges. De la sorte, il n\u2019existe aucun \u00e9quivalent au <em>Festival de Cannes<\/em> qui jamais n\u2019a d\u00e9rog\u00e9 au premier article de son r\u00e8glement qui d\u00e9finit ainsi l\u2019institution cin\u00e9matographique\u00a0: \u00ab<em>le festival international du film a pour objet, dans un esprit d\u2019amiti\u00e9 et de coop\u00e9ration universelle, de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler et de mettre en valeur des \u0153uvres de qualit\u00e9 en vue de servir l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019art cin\u00e9matographique et de favoriser le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019industrie du film dans le monde<\/em>\u00bb. Les responsables de la manifestation c\u00f4t\u00e9 artistique &#8211; Thierry Fr\u00e9maux et Gilles Jacob &#8211; et c\u00f4t\u00e9 \u00e9conomique &#8211; J\u00e9r\u00f4me Paillard \u2013 mettent une \u00e9nergie tout \u00e0 fait incroyable \u00e0 consolider cette plate-forme du cin\u00e9ma o\u00f9, sur le plan culturel, les relations diplomatiques et politiques se rejouent chaque ann\u00e9e en dix jours sur les quelques centaines de m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s qui forment<em>la Croisette<\/em>. Cet aspect relationnel est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement invisible et invisibilis\u00e9. Et pour cause, son invisibilit\u00e9 est une condition n\u00e9cessaire pour garantir la r\u00e9ussite de la rencontre.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On imagine pourtant combien il est difficile de faire coexister dans un espace aussi r\u00e9duit des repr\u00e9sentants du monde entier o\u00f9 la diversit\u00e9 culturelle doit \u00eatre pr\u00e9serv\u00e9e et tous les invit\u00e9s trait\u00e9s avec toute la reconnaissance qu\u2019ils m\u00e9ritent. On imagine, dans le m\u00eame sens, quelles cons\u00e9quences pourraient avoir le fait qu\u2019un invit\u00e9 de marque international s\u2019aper\u00e7oive qu\u2019il est moins bien trait\u00e9 qu\u2019un autre invit\u00e9 d\u2019un autre pays. Pour peu que les deux pays aient des relations diplomatiques difficiles sur d\u2019autres plans que le plan culturel et l\u2019on d\u00e9bouche sur l\u2019incident diplomatique. De fait, le <em>Festival de Cannes<\/em> fait ressortir la place des uns et des autres en pr\u00e9sentant une forme saisissante, lorsqu\u2019on prend le temps de l\u2019observer, des \u00e9changes nationaux et internationaux. Et c\u2019est parce que le temps et l\u2019espace de la manifestation sont d\u00e9limit\u00e9s qu\u2019on y ressent toujours une tension palpable qui, pour les festivaliers qui poss\u00e8dent ces codes de lecture,s\u2019impose comme un objet d\u2019exp\u00e9rience concr\u00e8te. Ces codes de lecture ne sont, au reste, pas tr\u00e8s compliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 saisir en termes de fonctionnement puisque, pour que les uns et les autres se sentent reconnus et qu\u2019aucun heurt n\u2019ait lieu, ce sont le protocole de la R\u00e9publique et le protocole diplomatique qui r\u00e9gulent l\u2019\u00e9tiquette et la pr\u00e9s\u00e9ance. On respecte la r\u00e8gle et chacun voit sa place d\u00e9finie. Quand les demandes pour assister \u00e0 une projection tr\u00e8s attendue exc\u00e8dent l\u2019offre de places d\u2019une salle, on admetalors le sens des priorit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ce qui fonctionne fort bien dans le Palais des Festivals ou dans les grands palaces tend \u00e0 dispara\u00eetre sur certains autres lieux qui esp\u00e8rent tirer b\u00e9n\u00e9fice de leur pr\u00e9sence cannoise. On trouve les exemples les plus saisissant lorsque certaines grandes chaines de TV tentent de faire du terrain cannois leur terrain de jeu ou de promotion. Cela surprendun peu sur le sens de l\u2019expression en actes que tente de donner ces entreprises d\u2019elles-m\u00eames\u2026 Un peu, un court moment. Car l\u2019on comprend tr\u00e8s vite que l\u2019on entre l\u00e0 dans un tout autre r\u00e9gime. Celui du marketing et de la communication d\u00e9voy\u00e9e o\u00f9 pour exister, l\u2019on substitue au protocole diplomatique un syst\u00e8me de privil\u00e8ges. Ces chaines qui n\u2019ont quelquefois qu\u2019un lointain rapport avec le cin\u00e9ma investissent dans l\u2019organisation de f\u00eate pour exister \u00e0 Cannes en recr\u00e9ant l\u00e0 une sorte de \u00ab\u00a0monde de la nuit\u00a0\u00bb. \u00c0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e de ces f\u00eates le r\u00e9gime protocolaire laisse d\u00e9finitivement la place aur\u00e9gime des privil\u00e8ges par lequel, ceux qui en sont les instigateurs d\u2019un soir font montre d\u2019un pouvoir symbolique bien d\u00e9risoire\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0<em>toi tu rentres, toi tu rentres pas <\/em>\u00bb\u2026 Ce pouvoir de physionomistes de boites de nuit qui s\u2019assoie sur le respect de tout type de protocole semble procurer \u00e0 ceux qui l\u2019exercent une jouissance certaine lorsqu\u2019ils pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent faire entrer au faci\u00e8s. Curieusement se recr\u00e9\u00e9e l\u00e0 un espace priv\u00e9 qui n\u2019a plus grand chose \u00e0 voir avec l\u2019espace public. C\u2019est une question que le sociologue Norbert Elias avait commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper dans son bel ouvrage <em>La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de Cour.<\/em> Une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qui substitue \u00e0 son protocole un r\u00e9gime de privil\u00e8ges signe \u00e0 la fois sa faiblesse et ses failles. Elle est la porte ouverte \u00e0 toutes les violences symboliques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">R\u00e9gime protocolaire <em>versus <\/em>r\u00e9gimes des privil\u00e8ges. Lorsque Lars von Trier pr\u00e9tend \u00ab\u00a0comprendre Hitler\u00a0\u00bb en conf\u00e9rence de presse, la direction du <em>Festival de Cannes<\/em>, force protocolaire oblige, va r\u00e9agir en r\u00e9unissant un Conseil d\u2019Administration qui va d\u00e9clarer le r\u00e9alisateur \u00ab\u00a0persona non grata\u00a0\u00bb au <em>Festival de Cannes<\/em> \u00ab\u00a0avec effet imm\u00e9diat\u00a0\u00bb. Dans certaines des f\u00eates priv\u00e9es des chaines de TV, au contraire, on va encore trouver une minorit\u00e9 qui pense qu\u2019en prenant le parti de l\u2019artiste dont il faudrait saisir le \u00ab\u00a0joke\u00a0\u00bbet la provocation on exprime son appartenance \u00e0 une soi-disant avant-garde d\u00e9cal\u00e9e. Protocole <em>versus<\/em> privil\u00e8ges. Il arrive que ce petit monde cannois fasse penser \u00e0 notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 tout enti\u00e8re o\u00f9 les cartes, lorsqu\u2019elles se brouillent, d\u00e9hi\u00e9rarchisent le sens m\u00eame de ce que l\u2019on appelle nos valeurs. Mais ne nous y trompons pas. Il ne faudrait pas opposer Cannes de jour et Cannes de nuit. Cannes Palais et Cannes Croisette. De formidables lieux de s\u00e9lection m\u00e9diatrice existent. Le <em>Magic Garden<\/em>, la Plage <em>Ch\u00e9ri-Ch\u00e9ri<\/em>, le petit <em>Bar du Carlton, <\/em>la sandwicherie<em> Chez G\u00e9rard<\/em> apparaissent comme des lieux de la nuit exemplaires o\u00f9 le r\u00e9gime protocolaire ne se laisse pas entamer par celui des privil\u00e8ges favorisant du m\u00eame coup des rencontres faites d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eats r\u00e9ciproques et cin\u00e9matographiques avec des gens que parfois ces conditions de rencontre nous donneront envie de revoir.
