Nouvelles salles  souterraines ou en hauteur, effac\u00e9es celles qui accueillirent les  mythes. Afin d&rsquo;en produire de nouveaux ?<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Production-Distribution-Diffusion<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pendant pr\u00e8s de quarante ans, Tokyo fut l\u2019une des grandes villes de la cin\u00e9philie, des ann\u00e9es 60 \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 90. Elle jouait d\u00e9j\u00e0 un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans l\u2019histoire du cin\u00e9ma par le biais de ses cinq grands studios, Shochiku, Toho, Daiei, Toei et Nikkatsu, qui demeur\u00e8rent actifs sur le terrain de la production jusqu\u2019en 1980. Depuis, ces studios, qui pouvaient tourner plus de cent films par ann\u00e9e, sont pass\u00e9s \u00e0 dix chacun, Nikkatsu toujours le plus f\u00e9cond d\u2019entre eux, et se consacrent davantage \u00e0 la distribution. Shochiku et Toho sortent des films plus f\u00e9d\u00e9rateurs, aux budgets plus importants, tandis que Toei, autrefois fief des films yakuza et des audaces de Teruo Ishii, domine le march\u00e9 des productions anime pour enfants. Daiei a ferm\u00e9 ses portes, et Nikkatsu se consacre aux films de genre. Shochiku et Toho assurent leurs activit\u00e9s de distribution et de diffusion dans les quartiers chics de la ville.<br \/>\nD\u00e9sormais tous ces aspects de l\u2019industrie cin\u00e9matographique \u00e0 Tokyo appartient aux ind\u00e9pendants, qu\u2019il ne faudrait pas confondre avec \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;art et essai\u00a0\u00bb Tokyo compte aujourd\u2019hui plus de 300 salles, et comme chaque grande ville de cin\u00e9ma, elle reste parsem\u00e9e de quartiers mythiques, Shinjuku en premier lieu, qui incarnait, dans les ann\u00e9es 60 et 70, un p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre contestataire, \u00e9tudiant, de contre-culture, o\u00f9 les manifestants fr\u00f4laient les yakuza de Kabukicho \u00e0 la sortie des films pinku, ou des cycles gangsters de Toei dont l\u2019immense acteur Ken Takakura incarnait le h\u00e9ros, donn\u00e9s dans des salles embl\u00e9matique de l\u2019\u00e8re Showa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ginza proposait une s\u00e9lection plus internationale, de films am\u00e9ricains et europ\u00e9ens, le cin\u00e9ma fran\u00e7ais dominant fort longtemps cette part du march\u00e9. Ces salles attiraient un public plus fortun\u00e9, ayant eu l\u2019occasion de voyager \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, mais aussi des \u00e9tudiants qui s\u2019int\u00e9ressaient au cin\u00e9ma europ\u00e9en. Restaus chics, bistrots et caf\u00e9s les accueillaient apr\u00e8s le film. Ce qui est toujours le cas aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les salles de quartier, les salles de r\u00e9pertoire, les \u00ab\u00a0second-run theaters\u00a0\u00bb abondaient \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque, de petites salles en sous-sol qui proposaient des programmes double, triple\u2026 Les ann\u00e9es de bulle, la sp\u00e9culation sur le terrain et autres biens immobiliers, mirent fin \u00e0 ceci. Le quartier de Shibuya et ses environs, d\u2019Aoyama \u00e0 Ebisu, de Roppongi \u00e0 Shimo-Kitazawa, devinrent les nouveaux p\u00f4les d\u2019attraction de la cin\u00e9philie, notamment avec l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du distributeur EuroSpace. Elles devinrent le temps d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie l\u2019\u00e9tendard d\u2019une r\u00e9sistance face \u00e0 la mont\u00e9e des r\u00e9seaux multiplex qui traversent aujourd\u2019hui Tokyo.<br \/>\nDepuis dix ans, les cin\u00e9mas-phares de cette \u00e9poque ferment l\u2019un apr\u00e8s l\u2019autre. Ni la critique, ni le public ne se mobilise. Le diffuseur-distributeur Image Forum reste pratiquement le seul, avec EuroSpace, \u00e0 tenir bon. Les Instituts \u00e9trangers \u00e0 Tokyo, tels le Centre Italien, l&rsquo;institut Goethe, les instituts Franco-Japonais, etc. organisent des festivals, ou des cin\u00e9-clubs, qui tentent ou de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de cin\u00e9astes, ou de maintenir la pr\u00e9sence de patrimoines bien \u00e9tablis, sur lesquels tr\u00f4ne la Nouvelle Vague fran\u00e7aise. Ces lieux attirent un public modeste, mais fid\u00e8le, rassemblant les anciens cin\u00e9philes et des \u00e9tudiants.<br \/>\nIl est malheureusement ind\u00e9niable que le choix de films \u00e0 Tokyo depuis plus d\u2019une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es se r\u00e9duit aux productions nationales, aux films am\u00e9ricains, et \u00e0 ces autres films \u2018continentaux\u2019 qui entraineront peu de risques pour le distributeur. Par contre, les ann\u00e9es 90 virent la mont\u00e9e en puissance de la location vid\u00e9o et dvd, compensant ainsi ce retrait de films jug\u00e9s moins profitables en salle, et ayant droit \u00e0 une sortie directe en dvd, ce qui fut le cas de bien des films Fran\u00e7ais. Durant la p\u00e9riode de 1970-1990, le public qui se rendait au cin\u00e9ma pour voir les films \u00e9trangers, hormis les \u00e9tudiants, se composait largement de femmes au foyer.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/trezi.free.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/P10504321.jpg\"><a href=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/P1050432.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-727\" title=\"P1050432\" src=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/P1050432.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/P1050432.jpg 600w, https:\/\/paris-louxor.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/P1050432-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/a><\/h4>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Habitudes en salle<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ceci explique qu\u2019il existe une fois par mois dans les cin\u00e9mas un mercredi \u00e0 1 000 yens pour les femmes.  Mais le co\u00fbt prohibitif d\u2019une entr\u00e9e freina les spectateurs. Une place en salle peut co\u00fbter de 1 300 \u00e0 1 800 yens (Entre 12 et 16 \u20ac). Lorsque le spectateur ach\u00e8te sa place, il peut souvent choisir son si\u00e8ge \u00e0 la caisse. Les salles plus r\u00e9centes disposent de guichets \u00e9lectroniques, et le r\u00e9seau de diffusion Toho propose une carte d\u2019abonnement, mais dont les avantages ressemblent bien peu \u00e0 ceux des mod\u00e8les fran\u00e7ais, tels UGC, MK2, Gaumont.<br \/>\nLes Japonais vont assez peu au cin\u00e9ma en semaine, \u00e0 la rigueur en soir\u00e9e mais cela se fait de moins en moins. M\u00eame les retrait\u00e9s, qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient d\u2019une r\u00e9duction, trouvent autre chose pour les occuper Lorsqu\u2019un film conna\u00eet le succ\u00e8s au box office, les Japonais se rendent longtemps \u00e0 l\u2019avance pour leur s\u00e9ance, et doivent souvent patienter en queue d\u2019un \u00e9tage \u00e0 l\u2019autre, \u00e0 la verticale, le long des escaliers, en lisant, en mangeant. Peu de spectateurs japonais mangent en salle, en comparaison avec les Europ\u00e9ens et les Am\u00e9ricains. Le multiplexe Toho, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Roppongi, un des quartiers fr\u00e9quent\u00e9s plusieurs anglophones de la ville, offre \u00e0 son public un service consommation et restauration qui s\u2019inspire du mod\u00e8le am\u00e9ricain : popcorn et coca, glaces etc. Curieusement, UniFrance fit le choix de d\u00e9placer son festival du cin\u00e9ma fran\u00e7ais, qui s\u2019est tenu pendant des ann\u00e9es dans la ville de Yokohama, dans ce multi-salles de Roppongi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La s\u00e9ance pr\u00e9sente quelques pubs locales et bandes-annonces avant le film. Une fois le film commenc\u00e9, le public reste silencieux, quitte \u00e0 s\u2019endormir\u2026Cependant, on peut avancer que les Japonais aiment pleurer pendant les films, les mouchoirs sont pr\u00eats. L\u2019ann\u00e9e 2010 signalait un autre changement face au cin\u00e9ma \u00e9tranger. Tout comme \u00e0 Paris, les films \u00e9trangers diffus\u00e9s \u00e0 Tokyo \u00e9taient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s en version originale avec sous-titres, mais lorsqu\u2019un film contient de nombreux dialogues, la pr\u00e9sence de kanji pouvait \u2018g\u00eaner\u2019 l\u2019image, et le plaisir des spectateurs \u00e0 regarder le film. 2010 vit ainsi la mont\u00e9e de films \u00e9trangers doubl\u00e9s en japonais, notamment pour les succ\u00e8s au box-office, dont <em>Avatar <\/em>de James Cameron et <em>Alice in Wonderland <\/em>de Tim Burton.
